We are a small construction company based in London, and it is often difficult for us to find larger suppliers willing to work with businesses of our size. Tailor Made Designs, however, approached our project with exceptional professionalism from the very beginning. The scope of work involved supplying a flat roof built with posi-joists and three rooflights, designed to support a green roof. The roof had an irregular shape, with only one corner at a right angle. The TMD advisors asked us for simple dimensions and quickly provided a detailed 3D design along with a full schedule of joists, including their lengths and sizes. They also supplied all the required metalwork (connectors, hangers, etc.). The pricing was very competitive, and the delivery took place exactly as agreed. As an extra nice touch, we even received T-shirts :) Based on our experience, we can wholeheartedly recommend Tailor Made Design as a professional and reliable company.
We wanted to vault the roof of a building from 1850. The existing roof structure was completely rotten. I contacted Tailor Made Designs with the measurements and they quickly turned around a design, 3D-schematic and quotation (these diagrams were better than anything my structural engineer could produce!). The process of tweaking the design, through to ordering and delivery was very easy and fast. Delivery on site was very straight forward and the trusses has been installed by our joiner without any problems. My company works on conversions of old buildings and I wouldn't hesitate to use Tailor Made Designs for our next project. Thank you

I have finally got to install my posi joists supplied by tailormade, after their extreme patience over the last 18 months, due to planning issues. The service, help and advice was second to none. Kept me updated from start to finish, very efficient. I had to make a few changes. They did immediately as it was before it went in to production but did not complain. They were spot on price wise , other companies gave ridiculous prices but then said we will match! No chance! So pleased I used them. They gave me a delivery date and time and it turned up exactly that time. Would recommend all day long.

We used TMD on our most recent project, we hadn’t used them before. But all went great, even supplied with braces, brackets and drawings, will certainly be using TMD again for all our projects

Researching roofing options for an outbuilding, I came across Tailor Made Designs via an online search. I was particularly impressed to receive a tailored quote and CAD within 24 hours of calling them - this shows a professionalism and commitment that is so often missing now. Revisions to the design to maximise usable area and storage facilities were no issue, and the products were delivered on time and per the agreed drawings. And the price is comparable or beats the labour of a cut roof. Would definitely use again.

They are very thorough and supply detailed paperwork on deliver,. The plans are even laminated, which as anyone who has worked on sites will know, is invaluable. Great work.
I asked Tailor made to quote me on a simple flat roof system using metal Webb joists. From my first contact to me accepting delivery was smooth and faultless . Communication is the key in most things and these guys know exactly how to use it. The price was about 15 % less than my usual supplier. Tailor made redesigned the layout to a more robust finish . I can not state how easy it is to work with this company. I would truly recommend this company 100% if you require timber truss or joist manufacture with cost in mind and speedy delivery. Top job guys.
From start to finish, incredibly helpful and easy to deal with. 3D view really helped visualise what it was going to look like built, the team managed to move the delivery forward to suit my schedule, the truck driver was so pleasant and seemed genuinely interested in what we were building. And the laminated plans that came with the delivery were the icing on the cake.
A good company to deal with. Excellent communications, they had picked up on something that I'd missed in my design and rectified it immediately. They also had a very quick turnaround between initial contact and product delivery.
I bought a glulam beam here , it was very competitively priced . But the best thing was their service, they were extremely helpful telling me how to fit the beam and advising me how best to hang the Rafters. Then I was given the hangers as a complementary gift . I could not have asked more.
Fantastic service from TMD’s especially Philip who was the most experienced and helpful person we have spoken to when trying to source our much needed posi joists. We spoke a few times to ensure we delivered in line with our structural requirements. He was amazing. The cost was reasonable and production and delivery speedy, despite us opting for a supplier miles away from our location. Will use again and recommend for others.
