Timber Grade: TR26
Timber size: 35mm
Treatment: Only required in areas marked on this treatment map. Treatment is to protect against the House Longhorn Beetle and not weather protection.
When you order trusses online, you'll also receive all necessary clips and bracing timber, detailed drawings, a virtual 3D model to work from and calculations that you can submit to building control. Gable ladders are not included but can be added above.
Step 1: Measure Your Building
You can use our truss measuring video to learn how to measure your building ready for trusses. If you're unsure, give us a ring and we'll talk you through it. It only takes a few minutes.
Step 2: Place Your Order
Select your span, pitch and overhang (if required), then add any drawings you might have. Don't worry if you don't have any—we'll contact you if we need more information.
Step 3: We'll Phone You & Send a Design
Before even looking in the direction of a saw, we'll give you a ring to check all your measurements are correct. If everything looks good, we'll then send you our design for you to have a look through. If you need to make any amendments, we're always happy to do this.
Step 4: We'll Begin Manufacturing & Arrange Delivery
Once you've confirmed your order, we can begin manufacturing your trusses. One of our team will be in contact to arrange delivery on a day that suits you.
What Are The Benefits of Roof Trusses?
🪽Lightweight: Trusses use up to 40% less material than traditional cut roofs, making them significantly lighter yet just as strong.
💷 Cost-effective: Thanks to their rapid installation times and use of fewer materials, trusses are often cheaper than traditional cut roofs.
💪 Strong: Roof Trusses, with their triangular design, are inherently stronger than traditional methods and will span further without supporting walls.
🏡 Versatile: Roof Trusses are available in a huge variety of configurations to suit your project. These can include attic trusses, raised tie trusses, scissor trusses and more.
⚙️ High quality: Our trusses are designed in specialist licensed software from MiTek (Pamir) and made in a purpose-built factory, ensuring millimetre perfect accuracy every time.
🔨 More site space: Rather than having to store vast amounts of timber on site, trusses can be delivered just in time for installation.
Whether you're a complete beginner with no knowledge of the industry building a small extension or a seasoned veteran constructing multiple homes, our designers will effortlessly turn your requirements into clear, lifelike designs, allowing you to view 3D models of your proposed project with our roof trusses in place. Our design team are on hand to assist you with every step of your project, from initial enquiry through to installation.
If you have a project that is a little too complex for online ordering, get in contact here and have a chat. We're a friendly bunch.
We have some of the best toys in the industry. We have invested over £2.5M in our brand new facility and have used almost 20 years of manufacturing experience to ensure it does exactly what we want. It’s the secret to turning your project around in as little as 5 days.
Our Saws
We run two Hundegger saws from Germany. These saws are truly incredible, allowing us to cut the timber for your project at an astonishing pace whilst achieving pin-point accuracy. The saws are fed directly from our design office and will optimise the use of every length of timber for minimal waste.
Assembling the Trusses
Once the timber components are cut, they move directly to one of our truss presses. Our skilled assemblers will set out your truss on the press with the assistance of a laser system—again, fed from our design office. The lasers minimise setup time whilst ensuring perfect accuracy every time. Once the truss is set, a jig is formed for multiple runs. Steel nail plates are then pressed into the timbers using 35 tonne presses to complete the roof truss.
Timber Quality
Even the timber we use is specific to roof trusses and Posi-Joists. It's sourced from Sweden, where the cold climate ensures the tree grows slow and straight, resulting in a higher quality and more consistent product. The grading is called TR26, and is unlikely to be found at any builders merchants.
